Just as it is vital that parents play an active role in their child's education, it is equally important that teachers engage in active participation of their school professional community. By doing so, they learn from each other and seek out others as a resource or mentor, they can collaborate and plan with each other and share strategies. These relationships developed with colleagues play an important role in the overall success of the school, creating a tone of respect and mutual support for one another.
